We’ve been stuck at home for over a month now and it’s beginning to take its toll on everyone.
We’re well into May and it’s time for all entrepreneurs and business owners to take a hard look at their businesses.
Did you know that only 20% of business owners do this?
The rest run their businesses by the seat of their pants.
People are paralyzed – jobs have been lost – businesses shuttered.
To get out of this funk – you need to do a couple of things – right now.
First, update your USP. Do you have a USP (Universal Selling Proposition)? If so, when was the last time you updated it? Does it still apply to your business?
For example – mine is “Helping business do more business through digital lead generation”.
Second, do you who exactly is your ideal client, customer or patient? Without a strong understanding of “WHO”, it is difficult to know what media is best suited for attracting them.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by all the options available.
If you are not sure, don’t worry. Most business owners have no real clue who their ideal client and customer is.
This is fixable and it can mean big things for you and your business.
What would your business look like if you have a steady stream of new clients and customers coming in the door?
What to do now?
- Determine exactly who is your ideal client or customer. Doing so focuses your marketing message and defines the media that you should be using.
- Put together a multi-step sales plan to reach your “ideal prospect”.
- Begin a lead generation campaign to build a lead list of folks who fit your ideal client and customer profile.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
